To keep things simple are used a box cake mix.I used Betty Crocker's Chocolate Fudge Cake and swapped the water for milk! Feel free to use your own chocolate recipe, but for the simpler version - use the box!Bake according to the box as well!
Milk Mixture
Once your cake has COMPLETELY cooled, you can work on the milk mixture.
Add the condensed milk, evaporated milk, and normal milk into a container and mix until well combined.
Add the instant coffee powder and refrigerate.
Chocolate Ganache
To make a chocolate ganache, heat your heavy cream. This can be done on the stove top or in the microwave.
Add the chocolate chips and let it sit for a minute so they can melt.
Stir until combined and let it thicken up slightly. If it is not mixing or has gone cold, reheat it and keep mixing.
Add into a piping bag for easy piping onto the cake.
Whipped Topping
For the whipped cream topping, add heavy cream, sugar, and instant coffee and mix. You can use a stand aid mixer or hand mixer. Beat until you get stiff peeks.
Add to a piping bag with a tip OR just spread with a spoon.
Assembly
To assemble, start by poking holes into your cake.
Pour the milk mixture in parts onto the cake and allow for it to soak. Do NOT pour it all at once, it will take longer to soak.
Once the milk mixture has soaked, add the chocolate ganache and spread over the cake.
Lastly, pipe or spread the whipped topping on the cake.
